At the risk of royally tempting fate, the weather forecast has shaped up perfectly for a trip down the Ray tonight. So we'll be meeting at Two Tree Island (SS9 2GB, see www.wetndrysup.com/sup-locations/two-tree-island/) around 6.45pm ready for a 7pm launch off the newly renovated slipway. There should be just enough water to head east for an hour, hopefully as far as Seal Point, then turn on the flooding tide to get home before sunset. As ever these days, leashes compulsory! It's going to be a decent length (c. 9km?) paddle but conditions should be relatively easy, so all paddlers prepared to dig in are very welcome.
