Party: SUP Club – Proms Away...

At last, the tide's in for SUP Club! It's looking like a lovely day too – and with a light easterly breeze due to build towards the evening, we're in the mood for the big one... Meeting at Thorpe Bay by 6.30pm (SS1 3NW, see www.wetndrysup.com/thorpe-bay-southend/) we're aiming to launch at 6.45pm (no early or late starters this week please! If you're running late maybe launch from the Sea Life Centre and meet us as we come past?) and head west all the way along the promenade, under the pier, past Chalkwell and on to Old Leigh for a pint at the Crooked Billet. That's nearly 9km – with the flooding tide and wind, it should take somewhere between 1.5 and 2 hours. Then we'll be ordering 7-seater cabs for the ride back (c. £4 per person) to collect vehicles, while a couple of lucky souls stay at the pub to look after everyone's boards! What's more, Reece White of Whiteboarders will be joining us – along with some shiny new RRD kit for demo to anyone interested in upgrading their ride...
