Party: Frank Yamma and David Bridie

Frank Yamma and David Bridie are two unique Australian voices. Both recognised as leading artists in the Australian musical landscape. Sunday 22 November 2015 will see these two master musicians come together in concert at the The Vanguard.

Frank Yamma is a voice from the Central Australian desert that strikes a chord in hearts all over the world. Regarded as one of Australia’s most important Indigenous songwriters, Frank’s extensive 2015 international schedule has seen him play in Canada, Switzerland, Latvia, Ireland, England and Wales. The indigenous soulster is the man Everbody's Talking about in the global world music scene with his recent release ‘Uncle’ taking out the award for Best Independent Country Album at the Carlton Dry Independent Music Awards this October.

David Bridie remains one of the most distinctive voices and composers in Australian music, not only to the ear, but to the heart. From his early years with Not Drowning Waving and his later outfit My Friend The Chocolate Cake along with his own projects including the acclaimed “Act Of Free Choice” album and over 30 soundtracks for film and TV, Bridie’s soulful lyrics offer unique insights and ask the hard questions of the human condition. With conviction, passion and integrity, his songs document Australia, its geography, people and culture.

For over twenty years these two friends have collaborated on live performances, songwriting and recording. Their music has been enjoyed around the globe - at ancient castles from Scotland to Slovenia, at festivals from the UK to the Australian desert, and beyond.

Individually and together, these two remarkable musicians will take the stage at The Vanguard this November.
