TRY ACROBATICS keeps busy with just three things: creating, recording and performing catchy songs with a raw edge. With bands like Hot Chip, Das Pop, Hot Hot Heat and Friendly Fires as sources of inspiration, the band is constantly tinkering with new songs from it’s hometown Amsterdam.
Since its inception in October 2010, the band has achieved some impressive accomplishments. With its debut EP, produced by Pim van de Werken (eg. Eins, Zwei Orchestra, The Medics, Silence Is Sexy), the band played at famous music venues such as Atak, Romein and P60 and Try Acrobatics was voted ‘Hollandse Nieuwe’ by 3VOOR12 (a music nomination for young, upcoming bands). After reaching the half finals of the Grand Prix of the Netherlands in 2011 and winning The Art Rocks 2012 Music Competition (organized by Museum Boijmans van Beuningen) with the single ‘Replica’, the band took a year off in 2013.

In 2014 Try Acrobatics is back with a 3 new band members, is the band part of the Popronde and Grand Prix of the Netherlands 2014 selection and of course releasing brand new material, including the single ‘Shout (Out Loud), produced by Remko Schouten (eg. Pavement, Voicst, Pien Feith). And on top of that will the guys be touring through Germany for 2 weeks.
