Party: PASHMAK – Milan (ITA)

Pashmak (in Farsi "wool-like") is the name of an Iranian candy, similar to cotton candy, made, according to myths, with ant tears, old women's beard or goat fur. It's a symbol for the ideal sound of the band: woven, complex, but at the same time direct and pleasing. Pashmak were formed in Milan in 2011 and are: Damon Arabsolgar (lead vocals guitar, synth, piano, bass), Giuliano Pascoe (guitar, bass, synth, live electronics), Stefano Fiori (guitar), Antonio Polidoro (drums), Martin Nicastro (synth and violin). In 2012, not yet in their twentys, they live-record Magnetic Knife Strip, a six-track debut EP, followed by many shows in the Milan area. Given the positive acknowledgements the same year the band records a second EP, Desquamation, designed as a bridge to a more synthetic sound. The record has been positively reviewed by the major italian music webzines. In July 2013 Rolling Stone Italy exclusively publishes the video to their first single, Red Roses Jam. In spring of 2014 they record, after more than a year of composing, their first album, which is still unpublished; now they are working to prepare the release of the record, contacting several national and international labels and playing several live shows.
