Barbra Lica est une étoile montante sur la scène jazz canadienne, recevant notamment des nombreuses accolades pour un style vocal qui préconise la subtilité et le raffinement. Résidente de Toronto, au Canada, Barbra Lica est également reconnue pour son spectacle qui a captivé des publics à travers l’Amérique du Nord, grâce à son caractère chaleureux et à la confiance qu’elle dégage sur scène.

On peut facilement imaginer le sourire de Barbra Lica quand on l’entend chanter. Sa versatilité en tant que vocaliste continue à grandir au même rythme que le nombre de gens enthousiasmés par sa musique. « Lisa sourit quand elle chante. Ça s’entend. Barbra Lica is a fast-rising star in the Canadian Jazz scene and has been receiving accolades for a unique vocal ability that stresses subtlety and grace. Based in Toronto, Canada, Barbra’s live show captivates audiences all over North America with her genuine warmth and confident stage presence.

Barbra’s debut album That’s What I Do (Triplet / Universal Jazz Japan) was released to widespread acclaim in 2012, ranking her in Canada’s Top 5 Jazz singers on the CBC, as well Top 5 up-and-coming Toronto jazz artists on blogTO. Her 2015 release Love Songs (Do Right! Music Japan), a collaborative effort with noted producer/guitarist/songwriter James Bryan (Prozzak, Nelly Furtado, Olly Murs) made its Japanese debut when Barbra performed live for very large audience at the Tokyo International Jazz Festival in September of that year. Her next release – the highly anticipated I’m Still Learning will be released in October 2016 on the Justin Time label. Featuring several original tunes as well as standards, it shows off Barbra’s growth and versatility as a singer, songwriter and interpreter. It’s easy to hear that Barbra smiles when she sings.
