The end of an era is upon us with the news that our glamorous queen Miss Hannah Conda will be leaving Perth and ginning away to further her dreams in Sydney.
In May of 2010, a young Hannah Conda first took to the stage for her debut performance at The Court Hotel’s Wednesday Amateur Night. Flash forward 5 years and she is now one of Perth’s premier and cutting edge drag queens. What a wild ride it has been.
From a young age Chris/Hannah has been involved in many facets of the performing arts, so when the opportunity arose to start performing in Drag, although initially she was hesitant, she could not resist. It was an instant love affair as every time she performed she fell more in love with the incredible art form that is DRAG!!
Hannah has played hostess and has performed at many venues and functions all throughout Perth and interstate, but her home has always been The Court Hotel. In September of 2011 Hannah was given the once in a lifetime opportunity to take over the role of “Head Drag Queen” and show producer of The Court. With both hands she took on board this almighty challenge, and started busting out shows every Wednesday and Friday night, making her mark on the Perth GLBTQ scene. This has been one of her greatest achievements and biggest happiness’ over the past 4 years.
Over the course of this journey Hannah’s achievements have not gone unnoticed, In 2013 she was crowned Sydney Diva Awards Belle of the Ball and here in Perth she was crowned the winner of OutinPerth’s Favourite Drag Queen four years running and voted most inspirational GLBTQ person 2 years in a row. Recently she has also been launched into the top 10 of a Rupaul’s Drag Race Fan Vote on Dragaholic.com for season 8 of the show.
Hannah’s passion for Drag stems from her love of performing and making people happy. Her goal in life is to use drag as a platform to make change in the world and bring glitter, sparkles and laughter to all. With her big announcement of her move to Sydney, Hannah hopes this is one step in the right direction to get closer to her dreams and do all of her Perth friends and family proud.
So…What better way to show Hannah Conda how much we love her by throwing her the BIGGEST PARTY we possibly could?
There will be shows by Sheila Mann, Barbie Q, Veronica Jean Jones, Ruby Jewels and the D’vauz twins.
Hannah will also be spinning some of her favourite tunes during her first ever DJ set at The Court Hotel and taking us on a musical journey of memorable music during her time as a Queen in Perth.
PLUS a secret special guest… Can you guess who it is?
Make sure you get down early to witness some truly amazing shows all dedicated to Perth’s favourite lady.
