Calgarian fiddler Laura Ellestad was so fascinated by Norwegian folk music that she packed her bags in 2008 and moved to Norway to study Hardanger fiddle. It was there she meet Norwegian guitar, banjo, and dobro virtuoso Magnus Wiik. Their acoustic duo has since toured Canada, Norway and Denmark and has performed in many Norwegian competitions. Laura and Magnus’ debut album On the Water was released in 2016.
