You may be familiar with history – BUT do you know HERSTORY? Meet the feisty, indomitable WOMEN of 1916 – a heroic mother-of-three, a pioneering doctor, a glamorous mistress, a widowed bride, a revolutionary aristocrat and the matriarch of a famous/infamous family. Six talented actors present these fascinating stories against the backdrop of the Easter Rising.
Fresh from a resoundingly successful run in the Moat Theatre, The Making of Herstory gives voice to Kathleen Daly Clarke, Dr Kathleen Lynn, Grace Gifford, Maud Gonne and Countess Markievicz, conjured up in the memory Kathleen Behan, mother of Brendan Behan, who knew and remembers them all.
Devised and directed by Anne Mekitarian and Bredha Sexton – this is a centenary tribute NOT TO BE MISSED.
