Party: Hollie McNish

"I can't take my ears off her" - Benjamin Zephaniah

At a time when the live entertainment industry is saturated with acts that are formulaic and predictable, internationally acclaimed poet and spoken word artist Hollie McNish is a breath of fresh air. Reciting words of love, politics, race, breasts and all that comes in between, Hollie's poems captivate and move audiences.

Coming 1st in the UK Slam Poetry Finals and 3rd in the World Poetry Slam Finals, Hollie broke into the mainstream via the Internet. Two of her videos 'Mathematics' and 'Embarrassed' went viral on YouTube, with over one million views in a week and garnered accolades including 'Chick of the Week' (MTV).

Hollie has released two critically acclaimed poetry albums Touch and Push Kick, together with her published written collection Paper. She is the first poet to record at Abbey Road Studios, collaborating with the Dutch Metropole Orchestra for her upcoming EP.

Hollie's performances include Glastonbury, the Royal Albert Hall and Channel 4's Random Acts to shows in Australia, France and Canada, reaching people from all walks of life. Her diverse fanbase is reflected by 'Embarrassed', which was tweeted by fans including Pink, Scroobius Pip and an Australian priest.

In September 2014 Hollie released a double album - Versus, CD 1 was a collection of her poems while CD2 has same poems accompanied by music produced by writers and producers including Pete Boxsta Martin.
