Cafe En Seine are delighted to announce a late, extra special addition to the Arthur's Day celebrations.

The Mighty Stef will be playing at midnight with DJ support from Flavo. Entry is Free, the music will be raw and loud and the atmosphere electric.

The Mighty Stef are a four piece band hailing from Dublin, Ireland who make euphoric Alt-Rock, drawing inspiration from a frenzied absorption of 60 years worth of good music.

The band began as bandleader Stefan Murphy’s solo project which eventually turned into a full time group which now comprises of vocalist, guitarist and lyricist Murphy, bassist and co-writer Gary Lonergan, Brian Farrell on drums and Dan Fitzpatrick on guitar.

At the start of 2013, the band made a pilgrimage to Los Angeles to make a record with Alain Johannes, [QOTSA, Mark Lanegan, Arctic Monkeys, Chris Cornell, Them Crooked Vultures, Sound City Players + More].

They have been compared to everything from Arcade Fire to Echo And The Bunnymen and have been influenced by many acts such as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Mark Lanegan, QOTSA, The Stooges, Primal Scream, LCD Soundsystem, Underworld, Velvet Underground, Nirvana, troubadours such as Townes Van Zandt, Dylan, Cohen, Donovan, Rodriguez, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Arcade Fire, Springsteen, Tom Waits, Radiohead, Phoenix, John Grant, Ad infinitum.

The band have somewhat of a cult status in Ireland and Europe and can count Josh Homme & Bono among their very diverse and ever growing fan club.
