You will be the first one to know when pictures are uploaded!
Formed 30 years ago as an offshoot of the cult
★★DAILY TWIT★★
newspaper, The Twits have earnestly struggled against the normality and predictability of the on-stage rock band.
They play only once a year and on this occasion have chosen the splendid Bethnal Green Working Men's Club for their annual event.
In the company of their invited guests they will attempt to provide entertainment to an audience that may, (like the band), wonder what's going on . Do come and thrill to the sight of the human boiled egg, watch in awe as an idiot transforms into a super hero, stand back as upset stomachs reach their logical conclusion and take notes whilst a professional demonstrates the importance of personal hygiene.
Known to eschew rehearsals, The Twits' act can be unpredictable with visual elements often colliding with the band's attempts at music. Interspersed with delightful songs The Twits will demonstrate the aerodynamic qualities of cake, present wonderful raffle prizes and do things that haven't been thought of yet. They will also present the finale of their long-running rock opera, Whelk.
Amongst our equally charming support acts we have the ever unpopular troubadour of urban angst
★Mr. NIGEL BURCH★
and his band of musical misfits...
★★ THE FLEAPIT ORCHESTRA ★★
who will share the stage (not at the same time) with the vocal splendour that is
★★★SHANNON KAIT★★★
With a strong emphasis on T throughout the evening we have
★★THE TEA SET★★
who will present a choreographed display of precision tea-trolley dancing to the accompaniment of
★JOHN WHITE★
on his helicon.
We are also delighted that
★★VON STRUMPET★★ (ex Kitten Von Strumpet)
who is the Double R Club's reigning Miss Twin Peaks will also both be with us.
Other special guest to be announced. What an eye and earful!
Our compare for the evening is the sensational
★★★SIMMON MUNNERY★★★
who's very presence is often enough to arouse mirth. What can go wrong?
To coincide with Teatime with The Twits a special, collector's edition of The Daily Twit will be published acting as both programme for the evening and an informative daily newspaper.
You really should come.
This is an unmissable event that you may never want to repeat.
