The Mouse Outfit is a 9 piece live band and production team centred around Chini (keys), Pitch (production/MPC) and Defty (bass). Their acclaimed debut album won UK hip hop album of the year 2013 (Wordplay Magazine) and was ranked in ABC News’ top 50 albums of 2013. Since the release of ‘Escape Music’ (which is now available on double vinyl through HHV.DE), their profile has increased significantly, both within the UK and internationally. The album featured many of Manchester’s most talented MCs including Sparkz, Dr Syntax, Truthos Mufasa, Fox, Dubbul O and Black Josh. These MCs have been instrumental in the cities current hip hop resurgence and will all be performing onstage in April. Their much anticipated follow up album, ‘Step Steadier’ is due for release in March 2015, and we are very happy to host their album launch here at Sound Control.

Pete Cannon has been making beats for most of his life, and has produced for the likes of Action Bronson, Guilty Simpson, Maffew Ragazino and Punchline (EMC), and has had his music played on none other than DJ Premier’s radio show. He has worked extensively with the UK’s biggest hip hop label, High Focus.
