Party: BURNING DUCK COMEDY CLUB JUNE WITH DAVE JOHNS

Newcastle’s Dave Johns has gained a reputation as an inventive, exciting and extremely funny comedian winning applause from his audiences, respect from his fellow comics and rave reviews from the critics. He is a regular guest on comedy panel shows ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ and ‘8 Out Of 10 Cats’ and starred in the BBC3 late night sitcom ‘Dogtown’.

Dave has also acted on the West End stage with Christian Slater in the stage play ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest’ and ‘The Odd Couple’ with Bill Bailey and Alan Davies at the Assembly Theatre, Edinburgh.

” He shifts from the sublime, to genius, to uproar in the blink of an eye – An extremely entertaining hour.” The Guardian

” Dave Johns has a uncontrived manner and sense of fun on stage that most comics can only dream about” The Scotsman

” He performs comedy’s greatest magic simply by being himself. A genuinely funny, engaging performer” Glasgow Herald

” Look closely you will see the man generate sparks of magic” The List

Support comes from Malcolm Julian Swan, a free form surrealist.

"so funny, it hurt me and the audience" – Basingstoke Gazette

"a bizarre Billy Bragg of surreality with a skewed sartorial wit and lamby face mask" – Rotten Meats

Plus MC Amy Gledhill!

Amy has exploded on to the comedy circuit with her blend of intelligent deconstruction and pure silliness. Appearing at Leicester Square Theatre and The L.A. Comedy Store within her first year.

Finalist in the national Funny Women competition and joint winner of the prestigious Amused Moose Northern Final, she is marked as 'One to watch'. Really. She's from Hull and WILL pinch your stuff.

Also introducing Andy Woolston and 'James & Seaburn'
